New 12th Pokemon Movie With All New Pokemon

Friday, December 12th, 2008

details are slowly being released since it’s that time of the month in Japan. First up is the news about the supposed new 5th generation Pokemon Crater that would be revealed in the 12th Pokemon movie. All the evidence seemed to lean that way at least, however it seems now that the supposed “new” Pokemon might just be Pichu. Remember the ear of the “new” Pokemon that we saw in the trailer?  it looks to me like that “new” Pokemon is just a Pichu. Pichu is a small, yellow, electric-type Pokemon after all, which fits the description. Nothing has been confirmed though, so don’t get disappointed just yet.

We also have two rough translations of the 12th movie title: “Toward Conquering the Emptiness of Space-Time” and “Towards The Overcome’s Time Space”. And since Arceus is very likely to be in the movie, its name will probably be added to the title once he is announced, as they have done in the previous movies. CoroCoro also states that we will get new information on the 12th movie at Japan’s World Hobby Fair in late January. But that’s not all! A new Pokemon will be unveiled at the World Hobby Fair as well. That sounds to me like the hidden Pokemon in the trailer is Pichu, however we’re still getting a 5th generation Pokemon in the 12th movie which will be revealed in late January. (more…)

Prince of Persia

SINCE 1989 the Prince of Persia franchise has been enthralling video gamers everywhere with its blend of intense action, great graphics and immersive story lines.

Prince of Persia sticks to the formula of intense action, great graphics and immersive story lines but ups the artistic anteThe latest re-imagining of the series, simply titled Prince of Persia, sticks to this formula but ups the artistic ante.Prince of Persia looks phenomenal on the Xbox 360. The fluid graphics and soft colour palette may seem childlike, but they add to the mystique of the in-game environments and narrative.

Couple this with the engrossing storyline – another retelling of an epic battle between good and evil in mythological Persia – and the non-stop acrobatic action, and it’s possible this is the best of the Prince of Persia series. The only let down is its lack of puzzles, an abundance of which has been the hallmark of the series. The game’s ballet-style combat remains top-notch.

Fable II

THIS game takes place 500 years after the original, casting you in the role of a young male or female tasked with avenging your sibling’s death and awakening your inner hero. The richly detailed and vast world of Fable II is as impressive as the epic story that unfolds.

The game greatly expands the scope of the original Fable by adding countless customisable features that are open to hours of random manipulation.Feel like buying a house and moving in with the local wench? Go right ahead. How about dying your hair pink and walking around town naked? You can do that too, but be warned that the local constabulary might nab you for it.By far the most impressive customisation is your morality.Perform enough evil deeds and your appearance will transform you into a mean-looking hoodlum. Conversely, performing good deeds will render you a tall and dashing specimen of morality. (more…)

Gears of War 2 To Be a Bestseller

Sunday, December 7th, 2008

Gears of War 2 will be released on November 7, 2008 for the XBOX 360. Without a doubt this game has been one of the most talked about, and sure to be one of the most popular games, of this holiday season. Ever since the first Gears of War, this combat action shooter has been wildly anticipated. The action in the game is frenetic and the controls of the game are some of the best seen in action games such as this.

For those not initiated, the Gears of War franchise is a third person shooter by Epic Games, exclusively for Microsoft Studios. The game can only be played on an XBOX 360 as it is an exclusive title to Microsoft. The first Gears of War was also released for the Windows operating system. The guts of the game relies on a modified Unreal 3 engine to power the action and graphics.

The game continues with the player as Marcus Felix as leader of COG Delta squad. Their goal is simply to stop the Locust Horde from destrying humanity and taking over the world. Gears of War 2 will allow the player to use those familiar weapons, and a few new ones, to continue on the goal of destroying the Lucust Horde before they wipe out humanity. One of the most popular weapons in the arsenal of the game has to be the chainsaw mounted on a machine gun for shooting or sawing your opponents. Gears of War 2 has a new feature that allows the player to use a downed opponent as a meat shield while you continue to shoot. This new tactic has gotten a lot of positive feedback from those that were shown the previews to the game. Violence has never been so much fun. (more…)

Even before Nintendo announced it, the DSi had been the talk of the town. According to Japanese correspondents, the DSi will be 12 percent thinner (about 1mm), and will get rid of the GBA slot entirely. The DSi will also include two built-in cameras (one reportedly VGA resolution) and music playback. It will add an SD card slot and internal storage (we don’t yet know how much) to enhance its multimedia capabilities. The screens are now slightly larger at 3.25 inches, photos can be synced to the Wii Photo Channel, and the unit will include a free browser application. (more…)
